VIA FERRATA SAFARI
Lake Garda Via Ferrata Safari
LAKE GARDA - TRENTINO
UP TO 3+ DAYS
SPRING - WINTER - AUTUMN
A multi-day hotel based via ferrata adventure between Riva del Garda and Arco di Trento, climbing sunny limestone routes above Lake Garda and returning each evening to the relaxed atmosphere of the lake.
This 3-day via ferrata adventure explores the classic limestone cliffs around Lake Garda, combining spectacular climbs with the relaxed atmosphere of the lake. The journey begins in Riva del Garda, a historic town at the northern tip of the lake, where Mediterranean climate meets alpine landscapes. Between ferrata days you can enjoy the lakefront, explore the old streets of the town and experience the unique mix of Italian and mountain culture that defines this region.
From here the adventure quickly moves to Arco di Trento, one of the most famous climbing destinations in Europe. An introductory via ferrata on Monte Colodri offers a perfect warm-up above the Sarca valley, followed by a rock climbing session on the sunny limestone walls around Arco. The following day you climb the spectacular Via Ferrata Cima Capi, a historic route above the lake with incredible panoramic views over Garda and the surrounding mountains.
During the following days we explore a selection of the best via ferratas in the Garda–Trentino area depending on weather conditions and your preferences. Possible objectives include the exposed Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri, the classic Ferrata Marangoni, the unique canyon environment of Rio Sallagoni, or the steep and demanding Ferrata Pisetta. Each day offers a different style of climbing, always surrounded by dramatic cliffs and the blue waters of Lake Garda far below.
If you are visiting outside the main summer season or prefer a more flexible program based in the Dolomites, you may also consider our Hotel-Based Via Ferrata Winter Safari from Bolzano, where one or two ferrata days around Lake Garda can easily be combined with classic routes in the Bolzano area, choosing the best conditions and sunny walls throughout the region.
