VIA FERRATA & HIKING SAFARI

LAKE ISEO ADVENTURES

LAKE ISEO - VALCAMONICA

UP TO 4+ DAYS

SUMMER - SPRING - AUTUMN

TRIP OVERVIEW

For those looking for a multi-day adventure in a place of incomparable beauty, far from the usual tourist routes, we take you to the Iseo Lake area! Nestled among the Prealps, south of the Valle Camonica — the valley of rock engravings and the spectacular Adamello Park — this region offers a unique mix of lake charm and mountain adventure!

You’ll stay in a hotel in one of the lake’s picturesque villages, either Pisogne or Lovere, and each day we’ll set out for a new adventure. With full flexibility, your itinerary can include scenic hikes, visits to the Piramidi di Zone or the Rock Engravings Park, or more challenging activities such as the Corno del Bene or Corna delle Capre via ferratas around the lake, the Porta via ferrata with a stunning traverse of the Presolana, or the Sentiero dei Fiori in the Adamello group — a high-altitude hike with suspension bridges and World War I ruins.

This is authentic adventure for those who want to combine the Mediterranean charm of the lake with the beauty and thrill of the mountains.

And, as with all our safaris, this program is just an initial proposal — it can be adjusted based on your desires and experience!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • You’ll stay in one of the charming villages right on Lake Iseo, where you can stroll along the waterfront, enjoy a gelato while admiring the historic architecture, or sip an aperitivo accompanied by local appetizers

  • Climb the Corno del Bene via ferrata, a thrilling vertical route on Monte Guglielmo, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views over Lake Iseo from above

  • Visit the Piramidi di Zone, fascinating natural formations sculpted by centuries of erosion and explore the Rock Engravings National Park in Valle Camonica, a UNESCO World Heritage site

  • Hike the Sentiero dei Fiori, a historic high-altitude trail in the Adamello Group that combines breathtaking alpine scenery with a fascinating glimpse into World War I history.

DAY BY DAY

  • Arrive and check in at your hotel in Pisogne or Lovere, two of Italy’s most beautiful villages on the shores of Lake Iseo! Depending on your arrival time, you can take a relaxing stroll along the lake, enjoy a coffee by the water, or sip an aperitivo before dinner — perhaps with your guide. You’ll meet with your guide before dinner for a briefing to prepare for the days of activities ahead!

Accommodation: Hotel in Pisogne or Lovere

  • For your first climbing experience above Lake Iseo, we suggest a panoramic loop hike along a equipped trail leading to the summit of Punta Almana! A few ridge sections and the breathtaking views make this one of the area’s standout excursions. You can choose to end the day with some sport climbing in the Opol Valley — if you’re new to climbing, your guide will set up routes so you can experience the thrill of going vertical for the first time!

Accommodation: Hotel in Pisogne or Lovere

  • Today we’ll tackle a full via ferrata: after a private transfer with your guide, you’ll reach Zone and follow the “Forest of the Gnomes” trail, which in about 2 hours will bring you to the base of Corno del Bene — the cliff where today’s panoramic and challenging via ferrata awaits! Stunning photo opportunities are guaranteed along the way.

On the way down, we’ll stop to visit the Piramidi di Zone, remarkable natural earth pillars formed by centuries of erosion. Often topped with large boulders, these unique formations create a surreal landscape that’s fascinating to explore and photograph.

Accommodation: Hotel in Pisogne or Lovere

  • Today we suggest a lighter day, starting with a visit to the Naquane Park in Capo di Ponte, part of the Rock Engravings Park in Ponte di Legno. This archaeological site preserves hundreds of prehistoric rock carvings, dating back thousands of years, depicting daily life, rituals, animals, and symbolic figures. Walking among these ancient engravings, you’ll gain a fascinating insight into the culture and beliefs of the people who lived here long ago.

After exploring the park, enjoy a relaxing walk to Lago Moro, a beautiful volcanic-origin lake surrounded by alpine scenery — the perfect way to unwind and connect with nature after the morning’s history-filled adventure.

Accommodation: Hotel in Pisogne or Lovere

  • Today we suggest the Sentiero dei Fiori in the Adamello group, a high-altitude trail that combines breathtaking alpine scenery with fascinating World War I history. Along the path, you’ll cross suspension bridges, tunnels, and old military fortifications, all surrounded by rugged peaks and alpine meadows — a truly unique way to experience the mountains.

For those seeking more challenge and physical exertion, your guide can take you on the demanding Corno di Grevo via ferrata, also located within Adamello Park. Both routes offer stunning views, historical intrigue, and a real sense of adventure in one of Italy’s most spectacular protected areas.

In colder season you will climb the via ferrata Corna delle Capre instead, with great views on lake Iseo!

Accommodation: Hotel in Pisogne or Lovere

  • Breakfast and departure on your own (private transfert is possible on request).
