SKI SAFARI

Grand Ski Safari in the Dolomites

AROUND THE DOLOMITES

UP TO 6+ DAYS

MID DECEMBER - EARLY APRIL

A multi day hut to hut ski safari across the Dolomites, guided by a certified mountain guide and linking iconic valleys through the Dolomiti Superski on a flowing alpine journey.

This Grand Ski Safari in the Dolomites is a guided hut to hut ski journey across the Dolomiti Superski! Day after day you will travel on skis through vast valleys, perfectly groomed slopes, and historic alpine villages, following a natural rhythm that turns skiing into a true mountain traverse rather than a simple ski holiday.

Guided by a certified mountain guide, the route links some of the most iconic areas of the Dolomites, from the wide horizons of Alpe di Siusi and the dramatic lines of Seceda to the Civetta range, Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Lagazuoi area, Alta Badia, Marmolada, and finally Val di Fassa. Each stage reveals a different side of the Dolomites, combining flowing descents with panoramic transitions between regions, cultures, and landscapes. For those who wish to extend the adventure, additional ski days can easily be added in Val di Fassa and Carezza, in Obereggen, at Plan de Corones, or across many other resorts connected within the Dolomiti Superski network.

Evenings are spent in carefully selected lodges and traditional Rifugi, where the pace slows down and the experience becomes as much about atmosphere as it is about skiing. This is not a race across the mountains, but a journey that blends movement, discovery, and the pleasure of traveling hut to hut on skis.

Every Grand Ski Safari can be adapted to the time you have available and to your skiing style, creating a personalized route that keeps the spirit of the traverse while remaining flexible and fully tailored to you.

If you are looking for shorter day tours or wilder backcountry experiences, discover our full range of ski itineraries on the Ski dedicated page.

A fun and long descent will take you to Ortisei, a picturesque village in Val Gardena, famous for its Ladin culture, wood architecture, delightful cafes, and renowned wood carving tradition. But that's not all… beyond skiing, immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Great War Museum at Punta Serauta, located at an altitude of 2,950 meters. This museum is set in a historic site that played a pivotal role during World War I. As you explore the museum, you’ll learn about the history of the Dolomites as a battlefield, where soldiers faced extreme conditions in the high mountains. The museum offers fascinating exhibits on the soldiers' lives, their struggles, and the importance of the region during the war.

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • Today you will take a short bus ride or private transfer and you will discover the stunning and less crowded Civetta ski area, and ski as long as you can on the 50 miles of slopes between the picturesque valleys of Alleghe, Zoldo and Palafavera with the Civetta mountain in the background! At the end of the day you'll take a bus or private transfer and reach the alpine lodge for the night in a beautiful scenario!

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • Today you'll ski in the Cortina area, known as the Queen of the Dolomites, with its authentic and lush atmosphere, host of the 2026 Winter Olympics! You'll enjoy the sunny slopes of the Tofane in the morning, which offer more relaxing runs but also legendary Olympic slopes!!!

In the afternoon you'll ski in the incredible and dramatic scenery of the 5 Torri, with breathtaking views and great snow slopes! At the end of the day, you can relax in your Rifugio in the mountains!

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • From Falzarego Pass in 3 minutes you will reach by cable car the 2800 m peak of Lagazuoi, the scene of the bloody and grueling battles of World War 1. From here you'll enjoy 360-degree views of the Dolomites before launching into the scenic descent to Armentarola: you'll struggle to keep your eyes on the slope! You'll finish the horse-drawn ride, then continue the day skiing the picturesque slopes of Alta Badia between the villages of Colfosco, La Villa, San Cassiano, Badia, and La Val. You will then ski to the Canazei ski area and check into your Rifugio.
