ROCK CLIMBING

Cortina & Alta Badia Climbing Safari – Hotel Based Rock Climbing in the Dolomites

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO & ALTA BADIA

UP TO 4+ DAYS

MID JUNE - OCTOBER

Hotel based rock climbing safari in Cortina d’Ampezzo, exploring classic multipitch routes across the eastern Dolomites with a flexible day-by-day approach.

Based in a comfortable hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo, this climbing safari is designed as a flexible journey through the heart of the Dolomites, moving day by day in search of the best rock and the most inspiring walls. Each day we explore a different area — from the iconic Cinque Torri, ideal for a first day of movement and rope-work introduction, to the vertical faces around Cortina and the limestone towers stretching towards Alta Badia. The program adapts naturally to your experience level and goals, making it suitable both for climbers who wish to learn and progress in a course-like environment, and for those looking to climb harder classic Dolomite routes.

Unlike our more itinerant climbing safaris, this experience revolves around a stable basecamp in Cortina, allowing you to travel light and focus entirely on the climbing while discovering a wide variety of landscapes. Some days may be dedicated to longer multipitch routes, while others can include a scenic via ferrata to change rhythm and give your feet a break from climbing shoes… or simply more time on the rock if that’s what you prefer.

If you are looking for a journey that moves across different valleys with changing hotels, you may want to explore the Dolomites Multipitch Climbing Classics, while climbers seeking a true hut to hut traverse through the towers of the Catinaccio can discover the King Laurin TraverseRosengarten Multipitch Climbing Safari. Here in Cortina, the focus remains on variety, flexibility and climbing at the center of the Dolomites.
