TRIP OVERVIEW

Imagine a journey across the Dolomites, moving from one elegant rock ridge to the next. A true rock safari, tracing some of the most beautiful and historic lines ever opened by masters like Tita Piaz, Weissner, Merlet and Dibona!

We’ll climb only multi-pitch routes around French 5b/5c (5.8–5.9 YDS) — aesthetic, exposed spires of perfect dolomite, topped off with airy abseil descents. And along the way, we’ll tackle some of the region’s most iconic classics: the Spigolo del Pollice on the Sassolungo, the Spigolo del Velo to the Cima della Madonna in the Pale di San Martino … and other timeless ridge lines!

Your guide will choose the exact sequence day by day, reading the weather and crafting a natural progression in difficulty, so each climb feels like the next chapter of the same adventure. As we move, the Dolomites reveal themselves piece by piece — new valleys, new walls, new perspectives.

We’ll spend our nights in atmospheric alpine huts, where the glow of sunset and the stillness of the mountains set the mood for the following day’s ascent.

A journey of classic climbs, woven together into one unforgettable, old-school adventure through the heart of the Dolomites!

As with all our programs, the entire itinerary is fully customizable. We can tailor the choice of routes to your climbing level and to the number of days you have available.

DAY BY DAY

  • Bolzano is a charming medieval town, where Italian and German cultures blend harmoniously. Surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Sciliar, Rosengarten and Latemar, it feels more like being in a small mountain village than in the capital of South Tyrol. Strolling through its squares and picturesque streets, you'll feel an atmosphere that is both cosmopolitan and authentically local. With its famous Christmas markets, museums like the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology featuring Ötzi, refined cuisine and prestigious wineries, Bolzano is a must-visit destination for those seeking beauty, history, and nature all in one place!

Your program in the Dolomites starts here! During the day, you can enjoy the “bella vita” of this south tyrolean town, and before dinner, you'll meet the mountain guide for an organizational briefing and gear double check before embarking on the multi-day tour! Get ready for fun!!!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • We begin our adventure with a true Classic — the Spigolo del Pollice on the Sassolungo, one of the finest grade IV routes in the Dolomites. It’s a complete experience: a plaisir approach thanks to the cable car to Rifugio Demetz, ten beautiful pitches on excellent rock, and an airy descent that captures the full spirit of Dolomite climbing!

After the climb, we transfer to the Val di Fassa and spend the night in a welcoming Dolomite mountain hut.

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • A scenic approach to the Gartl basin, home to Rifugio Re Alberto at the base of the Torri del Vajolet, sets the stage for a climbing adventure on the Spigolo of Torre Delago in the Catinaccio group, perhaps one of the most famous climbs in the Dolomites. First ascended in 1911 by the legendary “devil of the Dolomites,” Tita Piaz, this route combines history and adventure. Your guide will share fascinating stories about this extraordinary and unique alpinist.

One of the most exposed and breathtaking lines in the Dolomites, it is not technically demanding, yet leads all the way to the sharp, true summit of Torre Delago, offering a climb full of character and stunning views.

Private transfer by car to Passo San Pellegrino, with an incredible view of Pale di San Partino Dolomites.

Accommodation: Rifugio of the the Dolomites

  • Today will be a rest day for your arms in preparation for the next two adventures. You can enjoy incredible panoramas on a hike through the heart of the Pale di San Martino. We’ll spend the night in a mountain hut at the base of the Cima della Madonna wall, where you can study the climbing line and feel the thrilling anticipation and adrenaline building for tomorrow’s ascent.

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • Breakfast and departure for the long-awaited adventure on this aerial ridge with incredibly beautiful rock, a true classic and one of the most stunning climbs in the Dolomites. First ascended in 1920 by Langes and Erwin Merlet, the same climber who opened the Spigolo del Pollice, this route is a perfect blend of history, exposure, and spectacular scenery.

A descent with a few rappels brings us back to the hut, from where we’ll hike down to the car. Then we transfer to the Fiera di Primiero area for the night at our next mountain hut, ready for the next stage of the adventure.

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • Today we’ll climb another legendary Dolomite classic, the Spigolo Wiessner. The route features ten beautiful pitches around IV grade, with a single more challenging pitch, and offers fantastic rock all the way to the Cima del Sass d’Ortiga, standing proudly and alone among the Pale di San Martino.

After descending back to the car, our adventure among some of the most beautiful ridges in the Dolomites comes to an end! But for the most tireless climbers, there’s no shortage of options: for example, we could transfer to the Tre Cime to climb the legendary Spigolo Dibona on Cima Grande!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • Departure (private transfer to the airport is available upon request)
