5 Torri (meaning 5 towers, a group of five towering rock pinnacles) holds historical significance, particularly from World War I. During the war, the area was a strategic site, and remnants of old trenches, tunnels, and fortifications can still be seen around the towers today. Your mountain guide will give a brief presentation on the equipment and its use before starting the sport climbing on the routes of all levels. Your guide will provide you with all the necessary instructions for the progression, and you will climb one of the most scenic arêtes in the Dolomites (grade IV/IV+, 200m, 3 hours), perfect for an introduction to multipitch climbing on these mountains. After the climb, it will be possible to visit the museum of the Great War “Museo Forte Tre Sassi”, housed at an altitude of 1,730 meters in a historic fortification that was built during World War I as part of Italy's defense system along the Italian Front.
The Climbing Safari will continue with a private transfer to your hotel in the charming village of La Villa, in the Val Badia Valley.

After a private transfer to the alpine village of Arabba, you will take a cable car to Passo Padon, where your guide will give you all the instructions you need to climb the “Via ferrata of the trenches”! It is equipped with fixed steel cables, ladders, and other climbing aids, allowing you to ascend the ridge while enjoying a combination of physical challenge and historical exploration. As you make your way up, you will pass through tunnels with the headlamps and trenches, some of which have been preserved to give a sense of the harsh conditions the soldiers faced. The entire fun via ferrata takes place on either side of the ridge line, offering an incredible view of the Marmolada Glacier and the Sella massif.
You will return to Arabba and take the private transfer to your hotel.
