DAY BY DAY

  • Depending on the time of your arrival, a visit to the Oetzi Archaeological Museum or a simple leisure walk in the city center of Bolzano will be possible. You will have a welcome briefing before dinner with your guide, who will give you your via climbing gear and recommend a typical location for dinner!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • After a transfer from Bolzano to Selva di Val Gardena (45min), you will take the Dantercepies cable car and the guide will explain how to put on and use the gear to protect your progression and protect yourself to the iron cable of a via ferrata (iron path). You will then climb the fun via ferrata Piccolo Cir, suitable for a first experience! After reaching this summit with a 360-degree panorama of the Dolomites, you will be hungry! We will take you to eat in one of Val Gardena's mountain huts, where you can enjoy a great typical meal and a well-deserved relaxing time, before taking the cable car back to the valley and finally Bolzano.

Alternatively, if you wish, instead of stopping at the hut, you can continue with a second via ferrata, the Grande Cir, for an extended adventure!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • This is the day when you will have your first climbing experience in the magical world of the Rosengarten! With its imposing profile, the Catinaccio group can be admired even from Bolzano. It is a sight that thrills especially at sunset, when these pale mountains ignite and are tinged with fantastic shades of pink and red: a phenomenon known as “enrosadira”. Or will it be King Laurin's enchanted roses that glow among the rocks, as legend tells?

After a transfer from Bolzano to Carezza, during the morning you will have your first climbing experience on the typical Dolomite rock, immersed in the beautiful forests at the foot of Roda di Vael, an unmistakable mountain with the shape of a large yellow pyramid, which you will climb the following day via its famous via ferrata! In the afternoon, after a scenic hike of about 30 minutes, with great view on the Fassa valley, the Latemar and Pale di S. Martino groups, you will reach the fascinating Rifugio where you will spend the night!

    Accommodation: Rifugio of the Dolomites

  • After breakfast at the mountain hut, you’ll set off on a 40-minute walk to reach the starting point of two exciting via ferrata options: Masarè or Roda di Vael. One is shorter and more playful, the other a bit longer, but with the reward of reaching the summit! Your Mountain Guide will help you choose the route that best suits your family.

After the climb, you'll enjoy a scenic 45-minute hike back to Carezza—just in time for a well-deserved lunch with a view of the Latemar Dolomites! In the afternoon you will take a transfer with your guide to your hotel in Bolzano.

There might also be time for a walk to the incredible Lake Carezza, famous for its stunning emerald-green waters that reflect the surrounding Dolomite peaks!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • Today is a day off from climbing where you can choose to take a mountain mtb tour to the Alpe di siusi or to the volcanic lakes of Monticolo nestled in the forests around Bolzano for a swim and enjoy some relaxation, with a certified local MTB guide. After breakfast you will take a private transfer with your MTB guide and reach the best destination, rent bikes and ride!

Would you rather do another day of climbing or a self guided leisure hike? We'll recommend the right place for you to spend a great day with your family!

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • Today you will immerse yourself in the sites of the tragic past of the bloody First World War by walking an entertaining via ferrata in honor of Lieutenant Fusetti, Medal of Honor for Military Valor.

After breakfast you will take a private transfer with your guide and reach Valparola pass with a scenic drive over the mountains of Val Gardena and Val Badia.  To reach the actual via ferrata, you will don headlamps and enter the mountain through the tunnel dug by Austro-Hungarian soldiers during the conflict: the Goiginger tunnel! The tunnel is dark and damp, but the exit from the tunnel takes you to an incredible panoramic balcony where you might also see some precious edelweiss! Going around the south edge of the mountain, you will reach the via ferrata equipped in 2018: the climb is fun and takes about 1 hour, until you reach the trenches on the back of Sass de Stria! You will then reach the true summit of the mountain by following the path between the trenches: the height is modest compared to the surrounding peaks, but it is incredibly panoramic! Not surprisingly, its summit was contested because it guaranteed a strategic vantage point!

After a lunch break, the Great War Museum “3 Sassi”, the most important WWI museum in the Dolomites, with over 2000 pieces of war materials, is definitely worth a visit! You will discover some more details about the fighting that took place in the mountains around you! Learning or re-experiencing some history is just always an important enrichment.

    Accommodation: Hotel in Bolzano

  • Breakfast and departure on your own (private transfert to the airport is possible on request).
