VIA FERRATA SAFARI
Dolomites Via Ferrata Multi-Day Program Hotel Based
BOLZANO
UP TO 5+ DAYS
MID JUNE - OCTOBER
A hotel based Via Ferrata multi-day trip in the Dolomites designed as the most flexible of our programs, suitable for beginners as well as advanced climbers. Each day you explore a different area of the Dolomites, moving from valley to valley and experiencing new landscapes while adapting routes and difficulty to the group’s level and conditions. Based in Bolzano, this guided via ferrata safari combines daily adventure with the comfort of returning to your hotel in Bolzano every evening.
What makes this program special is the chance to see many different Dolomite groups and valleys in just a few days! It is an intensive via ferrata safari that lets you move across changing landscapes every day, without the need to sleep in mountain huts or change accommodation. This experience is based in Bolzano, using this little town as a comfortable and lively base camp to explore the mountains!
Staying in Bolzano means that, after the challenge of the ferratas, you can stroll through the medieval arcades of the old town, sit down for a relaxed dinner with local South Tyrolean food or classic Italian cuisine, visit museums, or take a cable car up to the Renon plateau for wide panoramic views over the Dolomites. Everything can be fully customized: this safari is perfect for beginners and experienced climbers alike, because every route is chosen day by day based on your level, confidence and goals, making each experience personal and rewarding! And if you wish, the program can also include a special night in a mountain hut to experience the atmosphere of the high mountains.
This hotel based safari can also be adapted to the colder season with the Bolzano Winter Via Ferrata Safari, focusing on lower elevation routes and sunny walls. And if you are travelling with children, the Family Friendly Via Ferrata program offers the ideal multi-activity program for you: we’ll take care of tiring your children! Or you prefer an hotel based trip based in Cortina? Check this referred program!

Today, your Dolomites safari kicks off with a via ferrata adventure in the famous Val Gardena!
If you're a beginner, your guide will introduce you to the gear and teach you basic climbing techniques — the perfect way to build a solid foundation for the days ahead. If you're already an experienced climber, you can start right away with one of the many more challenging routes in the area.
Some options for this day? The Piccolo Cir via ferrata, the Tridentina, the Forcella Sassolungo route, or the Col Rodella via ferrata.
After the climb, enjoy a well-earned lunch or afternoon snack at a local mountain hut, then head back to your hotel to relax and recharge.

The day begins with a transfer to Carezza, for a spectacular loop through the via ferratas of the Catinaccio range.
Depending on conditions, you may climb the stunning Santner via ferrata, with a return through Val di Fassa using public transport (20 min by bus)— or opt for the classic Roda di Vael via ferrata, possibly extending to the Masarè route for those with extra energy and experience.
On the way back, enjoy a short stop to admire the crystal-clear waters and magical colors of Lake Carezza, before returning to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Today, after about a one-hour car transfer, you'll explore the spectacular Val di Fassa area. As always, your guide will choose the best via ferrata based on the weather, conditions, your ability level, and what kind of adventure you're in the mood for. You might climb the scenic Kesselkogel via ferrata, take on the Via Ferrata dei Finanzieri, or challenge yourself with the demanding “I Magnifici 4” — just to name a few possibilities.
In the afternoon, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and recharge for the next day.

On Day 4, you might feel like taking a break from the exposed, adrenaline-filled via ferratas and enjoy a relaxing walk or bike ride on the wide-open plateau of the Sciliar — the stunning Alpe di Siusi. This is the largest high-altitude meadow in Europe, with gentle trails, vast green pastures, and breathtaking Dolomite views in every direction. It’s the perfect place to slow down, stretch your legs, and reconnect with nature.
Whether you choose a peaceful hike among blooming meadows or a fun e-bike ride along panoramic paths, the area offers pure alpine magic. The iconic Sciliar mountain rises dramatically above the plateau, and along the way you’ll find cozy huts where you can stop for a traditional South Tyrolean lunch or a slice of homemade strudel.
And for those tireless climbers who still want more adventure, your guide will be happy to propose another via ferrata day!

Today you’ll set off early toward the Cortina area, where your guide will choose the perfect via ferrata in the stunning region between Passo Falzarego and the Tofane peaks.
This area offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Dolomites — and it’s steeped in history, with many routes winding through landscapes that were once battlefields during World War I.
Depending on conditions and your preferences, you might climb the fun and scenic Col dei Bos, the short but striking Sass de Stria, or the epic Via Ferrata Lipella, known for its length and serious elevation gain. Or perhaps another gem in this spectacular area — whatever the choice, you won’t be disappointed.
After the climb, you’ll return to your hotel to relax and reflect on an unforgettable day in one of the Dolomites' most iconic settings.
